This last June, the American Dental Hygienists' Association (ADHA) came to Las Vegas for their annual convention. To start off the convention, they had a Community Service Day where dental hygienists, mostly from Las Vegas, went to a low income elementary school and taught dental hygiene skills. I was the 1st grade group leader and was able to meet 2 other fantastic hygienists. The kids were so fun! It is times like these that remind me why I love my job!
I made those teeth pillow cases in dental hygiene school to help teach the kids how to floss. From someone who has no artistic ability, I'm pretty proud of them!
