My friend's brother (Neil) owns a bike shop in Boulder City, NV. His shop organizes bike rides on Wednesday nights. Lucky for me, I got signed up for a bike ride this week.
I guess I need to take a side note, I'm doing a TRIATHLON on May 9. Yeah, so I needed to learn how to ride a road bike.
Anyway, I showed up 6pm and said, "I know nothing about road bikes." Neil laughed and then was amazingly nice showing me the ins and outs of the bike.
Out on the road was nerve wrecking for the first few minutes trying to figure out the pedals, handle bars, gears and shifts.
After that, the rest of the bike ride was a blast! It was perfect weather (light breeze, low 70's) and the sun was setting. There was just 3 of us...Neil, Don and me.
Oh, and this is Don. He's pretty hard core. Like I wanted to ask him if he had ever rode in a Tour de France.
So I guess, I have plans every Wednesday night exploring Boulder City care of a very expensive bike on loan and some cool bike guys.

whoa, congrats on the triathalon. I want to do one but don't even know where to start on the training the equipment, etc. I want to come learn road bikes with you in Boulder city. Can that be our next date? maybe before it gets to blazing hot, so basically this month.
