10am-3pm
Yesterday I saw a patient who was a refugee from Burma, who spoke no English and has never been to a dentist before. In his culture they chew on this beetle nut which in turn wears down their teeth tremendously as well as covers every surface with a nice black stain. (pictures to come!) I spent 5 hours cleaning his teeth with no lunch break and a few times to take a breathe of fresh air! And I didn't even finish! About 15 of us have these refugees and it is so amazing to look around our clinic and really feel like we are making a difference to these people.

Good job Jill. Sometimes my teeth feel like I've been chewing beetlenut for years. Too much info?
Everyone on Jamie's mission chewed it and it was a real W of W issue. Cause it like, makes them high.
